Residential Trash/Recycling
Residential trash is handled though a city awarded contract. Currently our provide is Advanced Disposal (recently purchased by Waste Management). The link below provides information about how to contact them as well as updates on changes in service (e.g. holiday schedules).
The city of Decatur manages the curbside recycling program. See Water/Recycling.
As a home owner or tenant you are responsible to bring your trash/recycling bins down to the street for pickup and then to have them moved to the back or side of your house after pickup. Help keep our streets tidy by making sure you don’t have overflowing bins and/or empty bins on the curb/street after pickup.
Pricing is available in the document below.
